Plan the proof before you press record.

Build one continuous route that proves location, operation, and control without exposing private data.

Three proofs must connect.

Google reviews a complete story: this is the place, this is a real operation, and this person manages it.

01

PLACE

Prove the location

Can the recording connect the profile address to a visible street, building, or nearby landmark?

PlanPlan the first shot outside. Use real-world markers Google can reconcile with the location on the profile.

ReasonLocation proof is required for storefront, hybrid, and service-area recordings, even when a home address is hidden publicly.

02

WORK

Prove the operation

Can a reviewer see that the equipment, products, space, or branding match the listed business?

PlanChoose the shortest continuous route from the location marker to the strongest real operating evidence.

ReasonA business name alone does not show that the listed service actually operates from the claimed place.

03

CONTROL

Prove management

Can the operator access something a customer or passer-by cannot?

PlanPlan one safe management action: unlock the work vehicle, enter a controlled area, or use an employee-only system.

ReasonThe recording must connect the person submitting it with authority to represent the business.

The route is part of the evidence.

Prepare the space and rehearse once before starting the recording inside the Business Profile.

PLANChoose the available verification method shown by Google. Methods are assigned automatically and cannot be forced.

ONERecord one unique, unedited, uninterrupted take. Google requires at least 30 seconds.

PHONERecord and upload on a mobile device through the Business Profile. An offline video cannot be uploaded later.

WAITAllow up to five business days for review. A successful dry run is preparation, not a guarantee.

Do not trade privacy for proof.

Show enough to establish the business. Remove information that does not belong in a verification recording.

  • Do not film bank, tax, identity, account, or payment numbers.
  • Do not include customers, staff faces, private conversations, or customer records.
  • Do not reveal passwords, alarm codes, detailed keys, or vehicle access information.
  • Do not invent signage, equipment, locations, or paperwork solely to pass verification.

Five checks before recording.

Use the prompts Google shows for the profile. This planner organizes the evidence but does not replace those instructions.

Can I record the video in advance and upload it later?

No. Google says the video must be recorded and uploaded from a mobile device through the Business Profile. It must be unique, unedited, complete, and at least 30 seconds long.

What should a service-area business record when it operates from home?

Google says to show street signs, nearby landmarks, or other location identifiers, then professional tools, equipment, products, branded materials, and proof of management. The home address should stay hidden from the public profile when customers are not served there.

What should stay out of the recording?

Google says not to include bank, tax, or identity numbers, private information, or other people’s faces. Also remove passwords, customer records, access codes, and payment details from the planned route.

How long does Google take to review the video?

Google says review can take up to five business days. The available verification method and final decision are controlled by Google, not by this planner.

What should I do if the video is rejected?

Open Review issues, note the missing evidence, then record a new video that includes both the earlier evidence and the missing proof. If available methods still fail after the requirements are met, use Google Business Profile support.

Use Google’s current instructions.

This planner follows Google’s published requirements for recording, location proof, operating evidence, management access, privacy, review timing, and re-recording after an unsuccessful submission.

Verified is the start. Alignment comes next.

Once the profile is live, the audit checks whether its services, area, hours, proof, and enquiry path agree with the website.
